One-on-One Tutoring
We work on the material currently being covered in their math class. We work on homework, study for upcoming exams and discuss upcoming material or extensions to the material. I focus on problem solving techniques and build the student's confidence. I meet weekly for 1-2 hours with the student, in either their home or my office.
Test Preparation
In addition to covering math skills we work on test taking techniques. There is a specific focus on using technology to save time and verify answers. I prepare students for the following tests: ACT, PSAT and SAT.
Home School
I prepare, design and teach the curriculum. I have designed curriculum that is highly integrated with student's interests so they can see the application of mathematics. I am well versed in the common core and what topics are covered in a traditional math class. While the traditional Algebra - Calculus classes are available I also offer; Math+Art, Business+Math, Experimental Math (Physics topics with labs) and Math+Programing (TI-Basic).
